Freebie downloadable flower card.

2010 February 25
by Maddie

As promised, a little downloadable tidbit to print and make at home. I made this for Aspen’s yellow-themed birthday thankyou card. It’s super simple and the thing I like about it is that it also doubles as an envelope and unfurls into a bright, happy flower. I took all the thankyou stuff off so you could use it for anything – a party invite, Birthday card, Get Well Card…you name it!

Simply download the PDf and follow the instructions. Extra fancy options: 1) Glue onto the yellow polkadot paper included so the outside is colourful as well; 2) put a packet of flower seeds inside and; 3) Seal the envelope with a cute flower sticker (or even a simple round one)

I had trouble downloading this PDF, because it was no longer available. I would love to have my students create these cards for Mother’s Day. Thank you for your help.

Just fell in love with your card. I am doing a floral card exchange ( I have never done one before) and had no internet connection for 3 weeks now so I am in a hurry. Need them done by Saturday. With this I can do it and also send some seeds. Wow, great idea! How do I do it with colored card stock? Do I just trace it? Thanks again for such a great idea.
This won’t be the last time I visit your site. Thanks, Mary Ann

I spent more than an hour searching for a fun mother’s day card I could make with my students with no luck. They were all too expensive to prepare – but you are sooo sweet to supply us with everything we need to create this craft. Thanks

Are these mailable? How much is the mailing with the seed packet, do you know? Is this best printed on a cradstock. My local CS sells double sided scrapbooking cardstock.

I would say it’d be best to send in an envelope because of post office requirements and no, I don’t know how much it would cost to mail, sorry. If you could print onto cardstock, that would be ideal.
