Real Rooms: Twice as nice.

I’ve had to do my first ever page break because we have not one but TWO fabulous rooms to feature!

Mummy: Abby Matthews
Kidlets:
Noah (3), Sam (8 months)
Location:
Western Australia
Bio:
In a previous life I was a Geologist, a job I still miss and hope to return to one day. I’m a total water-baby and love nothing more than to be in, on, under or around water. Unfortunately we live a five hour drive from the coast! I grew up in a small town in New Zealand and moved to Australia when I graduated from uni to work in mining, which I did until I was 8 months pregnant with Noah. We purchased our home in April 2009, and have been chipping away at renovations ever since.

First, let’s check out the playroom. I love the dramatic and fun wallpaper that’s used as a feature above the fireplace. It shows that you don’t need to buy lots of wallpaper to make a great visual statement. See the end for product details.

The cabinets are Torsby side cabinets from Ikea and the bookshelf is an Ikea Lack. All the toys are stored away in plastic containers so they’re easy to access and easy to clean up, and you don’t end up showered with plastic cars every time you open a door.

Wallpaper: Eijffinger’s “Anjali & Ndati” Navy Stripe
Quilt: Lakeland Design
Bunting: Alimrose
Circus Print: Ish and Chi (on Etsy)
World Map: Ferm Living

And now for Noah’s nursery – a lovely airy room with subtle stripes and orange details.
