Alex’s Amazing Colourful Home.

2011 August 24

Last week I had the distinct privilege of photographing local Interior Designer Alex Fulton‘s home for Apartment Therapy. Not only is Alex a lovely, stylish lady but her home is out of this world! I don’t normally feature adult spaces on this blog but I think you’ll agree that if Li’l Magoolie had stylish headquarters, this is what they’d look like!

Alex is clearly not afraid of colour. Every room is an explosion of colour, pattern and texture. Her collected artworks and homewares from around the world populate every nook so that at every turn, you’re faced with yet another awesome object. I love the purple and hot pink wallpaper in her studio, her vintage ceramic vase collection, the quirky deerhead collection, the grey bathroom with hot pink and green fixtures!!! (as well as the lighting which changes colour) and THAT STAIRCASE!!

If I’m ever rich, I will be flying her to my house mid-century mansion and asking her to Alex-ify it. She is now my decorating guru. P.S You can read her blog here if you’d like to check out some of her finds yourself.
